2022 TXTTC Race Handbook

This year’s TT Championship is going to be held in a quaint town of Hempstead, TX.  Located along Highway 290 and Highway 6, Hempstead is strategically located about 53 miles west of Houston, 110 miles east of Austin, and 200 miles south of Dallas.

The official Race Headquarters for Saturday and Sunday will be at the parking lot of Waller County Public Library (2331 11th St, Hempstead, TX 77445).  The Race Headquarters will be open 60 minutes before the official start of the race.  Parking spots for the event are one block away at the Hempstead Middle School (2532 9th Street, Hempstead).  If needed, the Hempstead High School parking lot can be used as an overflow area.

About the TT Course

The start and the finish lines is on FM 1887 (or Red River Street) just south of Ennis St.

The TT course will be an out-and-back between Hempstead and Monaville along FM 1887.  The course itself is recently paved and is relatively flat with only 207 feet of vertical climb in the 40 kilometers distance.  With a typical south or south-southeast wind for the time of the year, we are expecting a lot of people to set the PR for Time Trial with the tail wind to finish the course.
